It All Adds Up partners with the U's Housing & Residential Life department each year for the Live Green Games -- a contest between residence hall houses encouraging students to live sustainably and conserve campus resources.
The games begin when residents register for the Live Green Games and begin earning points for their house. Then, each month residents can earn more points for their house by taking specific sustainable actions. The more housemates that sign-up, the more points a house can gain for the monthly competitions.
The residence hall that earns the most points each month will receive 50 bonus points for their success and the right to display the Live Green Games Cup in their reception area for the following month. Territorial Hall was the inaugural Live Green Game winner.
Step 1: Set up your profile at z.umn.edu/livegreengames using the 'Sign Up' tab. You need a umn.edu email address to join the platform.
Step 2: Click on the 'Join a Group' button, select your house’s team (listed by hall and CA name) and click 'Join Group.'
Step 3: Select the 'Your Live Green Acts' tab above and begin marking off actions that you have done, that you do regularly or are committed to doing this semester.
Step 4: Tell your friends! You can share acts on facebook and upload photos of your actions.
Step 5: Keep your Live Green Acts up to date. Log back in regularly to post new acts and to see the campus' progress, especially to take the monthly acts that add to your team's point total.
