M Dining Earth Day Planting Event

Join M Dining on the front plaza of Coffman Memorial Union for a free planting event on Thursday, April 22! M Dining's Sustainability and Health & Wellness teams will be joined by campus partners UMN Sustainability - It All Adds Up and Waste Recovery Services.

M Dining will be providing pots, soil, succulents, and herb seeds for students to participate in this Earth Day activity. Due to social distancing guidelines, each participant must sign up for their preferred time slot and check in at the event entrance.

SIGN UP HERE: Supplies will be provided for 100 students to plant (50 succulents, 50 herbs) and the planting schedule has been divided into 15 minute intervals for social distancing. CLICK HERE to reserve your spot. If you miss the time you sign up for, we will open the spot for walk-up reservations.

(Please note: walk-up reservations on the day of the event will only be available if the 15-minute time slot is not full. )

All students and M Dining employees will be expected to follow University COVID-19 safety policies, including:

  • Face coverings are to be worn indoors and outdoors in accordance with University policy.
  • A physical distance of at least six feet is to be maintained in all public spaces on campus.
